Final Business Project

Chocoholic Island candy company is a candy store/company that has all sorts of chocolates and candies for any kind of sweet tooth. They are well known for their unique candy stations, our tasty fudge, yummy lollipops, sours and sweets, and most famous chocolates. It all started with a love of sugar and chocolate! The target audience of Chocoholic Island is towards anyone and everyone, children of all ages, adults, age does not matter!! While creating this company, I chose the lively colors of pink to attract the eye, as well as the chocolate dripping through the logo, and the little palm tree for the "island" part. The font is my attempt to attract the customer and make it tropical. But with a little look to make it want you to want the chocolate! Our logo is a tropical look and font with the chocolate drips and the palm tree to give it a unique look. This logo is used in all our brochures, letter heads, and business cards.

Corporate Identity Questionaire

1)   What is your business?
A candy shop, selling all kinds of sweets.

2)   Describe your business in one sentence
Ex: We make all kinds of delicious chocolates and sweets for anyone with a sweet tooth.

3)   Who is your target audience?
Ex: Children.  Families.  Teenagers. Men.  Women. People of all ages.

4)   Who are your competitors?
Ex: Dylan Candy Bar, Hershey´s, M&M world.

5)   What makes them better/worse than your product/service?
ExSkaters Choice Skate Shop site doesn’t work right now.  SPoT Skate Shop sells shoes, clothes and skateboards, nothing for regular skates.  Skate America’s site is currently being redone so all you can do is sign up for their email listing.  None of these are ideal for buying skates, skate parts or customizing skates online.
Ex: Dylan Candy Bar are in most of the malls that I have been to. Hershey's is very popular and has nothing bad about it. M&M World on the other hand, things are too overpriced and not as popular. Their websites aren´t really popular but they have good businesses.

6)   Do you currently have an identity?  N/A NO.

7)   (If your answer to #6 is no, skip this question)  What do you like about it and what don’t you like about it?

These following questions might seem silly, but their purpose is to help generate ideas.
1)   How do you want your image to be seen in two years?
Ex: We want this candy store to become very popular, and for it to be known for it´s variety in sweets, for anyones different taste in candy.

2)   If your company was an animal, what animal would it be and why?
Ex: no animal specifically, but I think a bear, could be seen having the candy, example gummy bears.

3)   If your company/brand was a person, who would it be and why?
Ex: Willy Wonka, the candy man because he is a perfect example of how a candy shoppe should be run.

4)   If your company/brand was an object, what would it be?
Ex: A candy basket with chocolate and lollipops.

5)   If your customer was a cartoon character, who would it be?
Ex: Cookie Monster from Sesame Street.

Lyrical Collage

For my collage, I chose the song, "You Be The Anchor That Keeps My Feet On The GroundI'll Be The Wings That Keep Your Heart In The Clouds" by: Mayday Parade. I placed the background with the beach, and sunsets. I took the silhouette man at the end of the bridge to show he is staring at the sunsets. As well as putting the cigarette buds on the boardwalk to follow the lyrics. The lyrics I used from the song was "I'll be here by the ocean just waiting for proof, that theres sunsets, and silhouette dreams, All my sandcastles fall like the ashes of cigarettes and every wave drags me to sea." As well as adding the birds by the sunset and the sea.

Custom Graphic

In my custom graphic I was able to make my own brush and pattern to be seen in the picture. The sunset is used with a dark blue, with some light red and tan,( the type of sunsets you would see at the beach, except with the view of the moon.) I decided to go with the sunset sky view but with the moon being seen. I used the bottom pictured (Grass) as my custom brush by making it look dark all on the bottom.  I made the sunset sky with the gradient tool, and I added the texture to the moon by adding the clouds filter as well as the feathery glow to it in a different layer. The perspective of the image is seen clearly by something that is looked from the ground-distanced view.

Buisness Logo Chocolate Island Candy Shop

Originally, for this logo i was going to go with the circular looking logo, but i decided to go with this one. Only because of the simpleness and classic look it has to it. The Chocoholic Island logo has the simple island at the end of it to represent "a chocolatier's paradise",as the quote would go. The melting chocolate under the title adds, the excess chocolate just going everywhere to just show how full of chocolatey goodness this business will have. I also decided to go with catchy light colors so it would catch people's eyes more. (this project can be found under my student class folder)

5 Buisness Ideas :)

Dali's Deli:
This company will be known for selling all different kinds of subs. A place you can eat anything from sandwiches to wraps. Soups, pasta, salads anything you name it. This logo would have a deli sign with (Dali's Deli) and food(sandwiches in it)

Sports Shack:
This would be a Sports store that would be affordable equipment for any sport in the world. It would be a product line that would be known to have equipment for any worldwide sport, and it would be much cheaper than the other sport stores. You could also switch out equipment and rentals as well. The logo would be all the sports equipment with a world sign.

Le Couture Shoe Company:
A shoe lover's paradise, any kid of shoe as well as any name brand. This store will be known for affordable but good branded and looking shoes. Shoes will be sold to go from anyone of all ages. The Logo will have Le Couture and a commonly used shoe. And a catch phrase when  though of one.

Viva La Belleza:
This will be a Beauty Parlor as well as a spa. Facials and all beauty care products will be sold and done there. It is open for all both women and men, different treatments of course. The logo will have this phrase, and beauty products.

Chocoholic Island:
A place for chocolate lovers, a candy shop filled with any sort of candy known to man. Even an ice cream bar on the side. There will even be a section for people who have to have sugar free candy. Chocoholic Island will be a place for anyone who has that craving for candy. The logo will have a beach paradise scene with candy signs on it.

5 Popular Logos

Starbucks is the largest coffee house retail company in the world at the moment, and is the most popular brand of coffee that is known worldwide. Starbucks is easily known by their circular symbol and siren in the middle. The common colors are green black and white. Starbucks is easily known for their not so complicated symbol anywhere. This logo has not been changed much throughout the years but the only bad part about it, is if it is printed very small it looses its look and not everyone can recognize it so easily.

The Hollister brand is known by a lot of the teenagers and young adults in the US. It can be seen everywhere, even though some other brands use this bird as well, anyone who sees this mostly first think it is the Hollister name brand bird. This bird is used universally known for other meanings as well as the whole beach brand look. But it is a logo that even though it is small can still be recognized at any time.
This Roxy logo does not simply correlate not with just one brand but with two. It also is the Quicksilver brand when you take out half of the heart and tilt it to the side. The Roxy logo also resembles a heart which appeals towards women and girls all around, and it is highly popular on surf brand names. If this logo is made smaller it is still recognized due to the not complicated logo.

The MTV logo sign is recognized worldwide due to the popular brand through the ages. Although it has changed its exact logo look, everyone has recognized it for the M and the TV. This logo is very memorable and popular for what it stands for. At first it was just known for constant music and music videos, now it known for so much more and is still very popular even though they don't play much music on this channel anymore. The logo usually does not contain the music television wording under the big M and TV. This logo could be made small and still be known to not make a difference.

Domino's Pizza is known as the second largest franchise of pizza chains in the US. It is known for it's red, white, and blue color scheme. They believe it is about representing the American pizza line and when people look at this they see the represent our country. And the Domino's actually has the domino's in the logo. If anyone sees this logo they immediately think it's the pizza company.

Project I

I decided to create a house scenery, with the HTML codes, because i thought it would be as colorful as I thought it would be. I started my layout with a basic rectangle for the canvas itself. Then added the color of the sky, later it took me some trouble to add the hill and make it linear, my one trouble was making the sidewalk as well as lining up the house correctly. I used the quadratic curve for the hill and the bezier curve for the sidewalk. The other things like the door, sun, rays, etc were not as complicated as I thought it would be. My canvas piece turned out better than I expected, even though it looks like a child drew this(haha). But for someone who joined the class later than usual, and got the hang of it, its decent :)!
